22Sep Zappion Gardens in Athens, Greece
The Zappion Gardens in Athens, Greece, which are just south of the National Gardens, are much more formal. In fact, is more concrete than grass Zappion in Athens of Greece. There is a great road through the heart of the gardens from the street to Koumbari Amalias Street. The good news is that the road is closed to vehicles, so the path is filled with walkers. Take a walk even more enjoyable is that the road (as are all roads in the Zappion) is lined with trees. There are even banks alongside the trees so that we can sit and watch the world go by.
However, there is enough in the park to see that the meeting does not seem much of an option unless you are tired or not a tourist. The main site is to see the Zappion building in Athens, Greece. If it is an impressive structure, we have never been able to know what it is used. Lonely Planet said it is now used by some government offices. We made a couple of armed guards patrolling the steps. Dianne When I tried to get a look inside, one of the guards has clearly indicated that it could not go to a certain point and then had to return.
The Zappion Gardens in Athens, Greece is a wonderful place to pause in the cities of the grind that is Athens. However, the Zappeion gardens are open 24 hours a day.
