This design was conceived by West 8 and BAS-Jaspaert Dirk is a bridge / gateway for pedestrians and passing bicycle on track in Aarschot, Belgium, focuses on connecting these 2 points and giving comfort to the user.
It is the first time you put a similar theme, but it needs to know that a single bridge, or gateway should not be taken lightly, this gateway has great potential for structural and functional design, very attractive to the eye.

The bridge connects the different parts of the old and new city, the landscape and the center with others and become a vital link in the regional network of bike lanes. It also creates new access points to the platform.

By virtue of its location, shape, structure and use of materials, the bridge reflects the qualities of the surrounding landscape. Offered to cyclists and pedestrians a new meeting place and rest over the rail, but at the same time gives them a sense of security.

The steel mesh sculpture space is supported by pillars of its shape and offers a variety of constantly changing perspectives and experiences.
